I can’t even begin to count how many times Instagram has exposed me to excellent music. I was too sluggish to look them up on Spotify and add them to my playlist, so I was unable to listen to many of those songs again. That won’t be an issue though, as Instagram now allows you to save popular new songs to a playlist, saving them for later!
Instagram Has Added a Shortcut for Spotify Song Saving
With the new integration, saving tracks from Instagram to Spotify is just too simple. Tap on any trending audio that is included in a video post or reel that you come across. The Add button with the Spotify logo will then appear in the audio panel.
You’ll need to connect your Spotify account to Instagram and accept a quick set of terms before you can click the Add button. After that is finished, you will see a message notification at the bottom of the track indicating that the song has been “added to your Liked Songs playlist.” The music will also be tagged as Added. That concludes the matter!
For years now, we have been hankering after this instant satisfaction of instantly adding tracks from Instagram to Spotify. Not to mention that it brings social media and music listening together to create a more unified ecosystem for audiophiles.
Additionally, it functions similarly to this hotbox of trending song suggestions that overlays your Spotify recommendations to propose new music that appeals to you. I like niche indie bands most of the time, so I rarely find many popular songs to be enjoyable. I think this new function on Instagram is a lifesaver for those situations.
Furthermore, you can easily add every song to Spotify by going to the trending audio panel on Instagram while you’re in the audio panel. I’m not sure if I’ve gone on a musical inclination.

A feature that requires a little more detail-oriented attention
Although music enthusiasts will be happy to hear this, I would prefer it if the Instagram connection allowed us to select songs and even make new Spotify playlists when we added them. This will save me the trouble of organizing the enormous collection of new tracks I’ve put to my “Liked Songs” playlist on Spotify when I have free time.
I’d also want to see an Instagram integration for YouTube Music, as I use it more often than Spotify. Likewise, consumers of Apple Music stand to gain from a specific integration such as this one. In any case, this is a great beginning that greatly reduces the difficulty of uploading new music to Spotify.
