With the release of the YouTube Music 2024 Recap, YouTube is a little early to the party in comparison to Spotify Wrapped 2024. For those who are unaware, YouTube Music Recap allows you to view your overall listening hours, the artists and albums you have listened to the most, and more, much like Spotify’s annual Wrapped. But for its 2024 Recap this year, YouTube Music included a little bit more called a “music character.”
Before we begin, allow me to explain how to access and understand this year’s Recap if you are new to YouTube Music:

On your iPhone or Android device, launch the YouTube Music app.

The Recap 2024 banner is located directly beneath the Speed dial panel, which recently took the position of Listen Again.Give it a tap.

After that, you can quickly tap the “Get your Recap” button to view your year-long TikTok-style summary on the app.
By touching on your profile symbol in the upper right corner and selecting Your Recap, you may also access the Recap page.
To go directly to the relevant YouTube Music Recap 2024 data, you can tap on the corresponding Top tracks, Top artists, Listening timeline, and other pages. The most crucial slides will also have a download button so you can quickly save the page to your phone as a photograph.
You can also share a slide directly from this location to WhatsApp, Instagram, or any other site.
I like the feelings of this year’s YouTube Music Recap 2024 because it’s more vibrant than ever. You also get a glimpse of the type of vibrations your musical listening displays right away. Perky, Swoon, Sunny, and Pop songs seemed to be my favorites.
But the page that caught my interest was the sixteenth one. Similar to how Spotify Wrapped uses your listening history to determine your “music personality,” this year’s YouTube Music Recap 2024 displayed “My music character” for me. It turns out that if my year were a movie, I would be “The Undercover Agent,” and I,
“I adore disguises, eschewing the original recording in favor of live performances, remixes, and covers.”
